Cathy Fussell, one of the Chattahoochee Valley's most beloved scholar/artists, has turned her lifelong hobby of quilt-making into an on-going examination of our area's history and culture.
In her quilts she reflects on and analyzes time, place, family, displacement and diaspora, exploring many of the same themes featured in this year's NEA Big Read selection The Best We Could Do: An Illustrated Memoir by Thi Bui.
Join us for this first comprehensive showing of Ms. Fussell's work before much of it goes on exhibition in museums across the East and Southeast.
