The public is invited to this opening reception for the exhibition Cathy Fussell: Quilts.
The reception will be followed by a presentation by Ms. Fussell where she discusses her influences and inspiration and her works' connection to the complicated history and culture of Georgia, Alabama and the greater Southeastern United States. Ms. Fussell will also compare and contrast her work with that of our NEA Big Read selection for this year, Thi Bui's The Best We Could Do: An Illustrated Memoir.
The reception will begin at 6:00pm, with Ms. Fussell's presentation at 7:00pm.
