Library staff will scan your family photos, documents and other treasures to they can be digitally preserved. Genealogy Department.
Columbus Public Library will provide the community the opportunity to professionally preserve irreplaceable family history documents, photos and other memorabilia. Bring in five items that you treasure and library staff will scan copies to a USB drive for you to keep. Examples of scan-able items are family recipes, photos, certificates, and government documents. Space is limited and registration is required for this event. Genealogy Department
The Columbus Public Library serves as the anchor branch for the Chattahoochee Valley Libraries and has been named one of the “10 Most Beautiful Libraries in Georgia.” Meeting Rooms, Auditorium and Computer Lab can be booked for public events up to 90 days in advance. Study Rooms are available by calling 706.243.2681.
