Thur. May 22 | 3:00-4:30pm – Veterans in the Family: Learn to use Fold3 to research military service in your family history. This will be hands-on computer searching with assistance from a librarian.
Thur. June 26 | 3:00-4:30pm – Deep Roots II: Follows 2024’s Juneteenth program by giving examples of success in tracing black family history to slavery in Columbus and nearby counties.
Thur. July 24 | 3:00-4:30pm – Native Knowledge: Learn about the difficult task of Native American Genealogy.
Thur. August 28 | 3:00-4:30pm – Pillars of our Families: Women’s Equality Day was on August 26, but we’re celebrating all week! Check out our display in Genealogy and join us for tips about researching the women in our family history.
The Columbus Public Library serves as the anchor branch for the Chattahoochee Valley Libraries and has been named one of the “10 Most Beautiful Libraries in Georgia.” Meeting Rooms, Auditorium and Computer Lab can be booked for public events up to 90 days in advance.
