The Columbus Children's Book Festival returns to the Chattahoochee Valley with five best-selling authors and illustrators of children’s books.
The Columbus Children's Book Festival returns to the Chattahoochee Valley with five best-selling authors and illustrators of children’s books. This FREE family-friendly literary event takes place at the Columbus Public Library on Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 10 am – 2 pm. This year, we’re excited to welcome Raina Telgemeier (Smile, Drama, Guts), Dan Santat (A First Time for Everything, The Aquanaut), Minh Lê (Drawn Together, Lift), Connie Schofield-Morrison (Stitch by Stitch), and Frank Morrison (Let the Children March). The Morrisons also teamed up on I Got the Rhythm and I Got the School Spirit. In addition to Craft-o-Mania and photo ops with popular costumed characters, festival goers will be able to pick up a reading log to begin the Summer Reading Challenge.
The Columbus Public Library serves as the anchor branch for the Chattahoochee Valley Libraries and has been named one of the “10 Most Beautiful Libraries in Georgia.” Meeting Rooms, Auditorium and Computer Lab can be booked for public events up to 90 days in advance. Study Rooms are available by calling 706.243.2681.
