Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet our NEA Big Read author Thi Bui.

Ms. Bui's critically acclaimed, multiple award-winning graphic novel The Best We Could Do: An Illustrated Memoir is the harrowing and moving story of three generations of her family as they hurriedly leave Vietnam at the end of the war to start a new life in America. Ms. Bui will read from her work and discuss her family and her struggle to contain all of their stories into a collected, cohesive whole.

Ms. Bui will be available to sign autographs after the presentation. Copies of The Best We Could Do: An Illustrated Memoir will be available for purchase.

The NEA Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest.
